Vivek Mashroo has done supporting roles in many dramas and shows but he got recognition from the crime show CID where he was sure to appear in most of the episodes.
However, recently a picture of the former actor went viral on social media, which shocked fans.
Vivek Mishra has given up acting and is now a 'Professor' at Bangalore's CMR University.
When this news went viral on social media, many users and students of Vivek posted pictures with him.
One user wrote 'I'm not kidding at all, this is a professor in my brother's college', while another shared a picture with Vivek Mashroo on Twitter.
Vivek Mashroo also reacted to tweets about himself and replied to a tweet.
"Thank you all so much for your compliments and love for everything I've done," he wrote.
Vivek Mashroe added 'It means a lot to me and I appreciate it! I will always be grateful to you guys'.
According to Indian media reports, after giving up his acting career, Vivek enrolled in a postgraduate program in data science and business analytics at the Great Lakes Institute of Management in Austin, Texas.
Later he started his career as a data analyst and professor in various educational institutions.
It should be noted that the drama CID started in 1998, the first episode of which was aired on January 21.
The drama later became so popular that it became India's longest running drama, starring ACP Pradyoman, Daya and Abhijeet played by Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty and Aditya Shrivastava respectively.
