Alibaba.com,
a leading platform for global business-to-business (B2B) trade, successfully
hosted its first seller summit in Multan to highlight export opportunities
available to local businesses from online commerce, reaffirming its commitment
to helping exporters in the region enter the global market. The event was
attended by more than 250 participants including over 100 participants who
tuned in online.
The
Alibaba.com seller summit, titled “Multan Seller Summit- Export! KYA? KYUN? AUR
KAISE- Alibaba.com kesaath”, discussed various aspects of B2B e-commerce in the
global market and how Pakistani exporters can tap the opportunity. Alibaba.com
representatives also provided the participants with tips and advice on
equipping themselves with the necessary skills and tools to thrive as sellers
on Alibaba.com.
The
event featured a line-up of speakers from Alibaba.com as well as prominent
industry leaders from Multan, including Ms. Amy Li, Marketing Head at
Alibaba.com Pakistan; Mr. Sheikh M. Asim Saeed, Vice President, Multan Chamber
of Commerce & Industries; Mr. Malik Junaid Ashraf, Alibaba.com Certified
Trainer; MD. ShazilMajeed, Co-Founder, Epic Crafting; and Mr. Tanveer Nandla,
Founder of Iskills Pakistan.
Talking
on the event Ms. Amy Li said, “We are overwhelmed to visit Multan as this

to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) here achieve sustainable growth by

visibility among global buyers, and in turn help promote the country’s export.”
